San Manuel

  The Lady Miners picked up their first win of the year last Thursday, defeating Immaculate Heart in Tucson, 3 – 1 (24-26, 25-16, 25-20, 25-14).

  Senior Ashley Madrid led the San Manuel attack with 12 kills. Senior libero Samantha Roan had 14 aces from the service line in addition to 32 assists. Junior Savana Roan led the Miners with 34 digs. Madrid finished with 14 digs while Andrea Guerrero had 11. Gabriella Estrada led the team with six blocks.

Superior

  The Pantherettes are 2 – 0 after wins against Hayden and Duncan last Tuesday and Thursday, respectively.

  In its 3 – 1 (18-25, 25-20, 25-8, 25-17) win at Hayden on Aug. 28, Superior was led by Lindsay Ketron and Korrina Romero, who combined for eight kills in the match. Ketron, McKenna Duarte and Marlee Estatico each tallied four aces while Marisa Estatico (23), Anisah Cardenas (21), and Marlee Estatico (9) combined for 53 of the team’s 62 digs.

Ray

  The Lady Bearcats are 2 – 0 after a pair straight-set wins against San Manuel (25-23, 25-11, 25-20) and Phoenix Day School for the Deaf (25-13, 25-15), 25-17) last week.

Hayden

  The Lady Lobos are winless after losses to Superior (25-18, 20-25, 8-25, 17-25), Ft. Thomas and Mogollon (8-25, 9-25, 14-25) last week.
