He loved singing, fishing and camping. He went into the Army Reserves, went to barber school and then started working at Kennecott Mines where he became an Electrical Supervisor. When he retired, he opened his own barber shop in Kearny, where he loved to cut hair and enjoyed spending time socializing with the residents.

Charlie is mostly known for his singing and his karaoke. He used to have a country western band, with which he shared his love of music with his two sons, Charlie Jr. and Billy (Poncho), named ‘The Outcasts’ and played at the Sunset Lounge, Copper Hills, Elks Lodge, GKI and various other venues. This gave him an opportunity to share his beautiful music with his friends and family, and bring camaraderie to everyone around him.

A celebration of life will be held in Kearny at the Elks Lodge on July 27, at 5 p.m.
