Capstone Copper invites the public to the Pinto Valley Mine Community Open Day on Nov. 2. This family-friendly event offers a unique opportunity to explore the fascinating world of open-pit copper mining and learn about the mining industry’s vital role in modern society.
Join us for an exciting day filled with educational and fun activities suitable for all ages:
- Guided Bus Tours: Take an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of the Pinto Valley Mine, located just off Highway 60 in Miami, Arizona. Discover the inner workings of our open-pit mining operations and learn how we responsibly extract one of the earth’s most versatile and essential metals. Children 5 years and older are welcome with an adult.
- Photo Opportunities: Capture the beauty and scale of the mine with designated photo stops that offer stunning views of our operations and the surrounding landscape.
- STEM Activities: Engage in interactive Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) activities designed to inspire and educate future generations about the science and technology behind mining.
- Fun Day at Bullion Plaza: Enjoy a lively gathering on the Bullion Plaza lawn, in Miami, where you can indulge in delicious offerings from food trucks and explore a variety of vendors and community partners showcasing services. The Bullion Plaza Museum will be open and welcomes guests for tours.
