Calvin R. Herrick

  Calvin R. Herrick, 78, was at home when he succumbed to cancer and walked into the arms of Jesus, his Savior, on Sept. 22, 2025. Calvin was born on May 27, 1947, to Margaret (Lucille) and Clifford Herrick in French Camp, CA.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Herrick; children, Kimberly (Greg) Barnes, Natalie (Mike) Rogers, Timothy (RaGina) Johnson, Jeremy (Tory) Johnson, Byron (Carla) Herrick and Shawna (Andy) Gonzales; and brother, James (Diana) Herrick. Calvin was also the grandfather to 18 grandchildren, and great-grandfather to 18 great-grandchildren. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews and many friends who he called family.

  Calvin earned an Associate of Science degree at Central Arizona College. He worked as a Mechanic Electrician at Kennecott Copper, ASARCO, Magma Copper, BHP Copper and Security Supervisor. Calvin is well known in the Copper Basin area as a photographer of children’s sport photos, weddings, parties, church activities and portraits. He taught children’s Sunday School classes and ran the sound system at First Baptist Church in San Manuel.

  A Celebration of Life will be held for Calvin Herrick at First Baptist Church, located at 103 S. Nichols Ave. in San Manuel (85631) on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m.
