Brenda Cunningham, 65, of Casa Grande, passed away on Oct. 9, 2024.

Brenda was born on Aug. 1, 1959, in Bakersfield, California. She was a twin and the youngest of six children. In 1976, she married David Cunningham, and together they built a life filled with love and devotion.

Brenda dedicated her life to caring for others, spending 17 years as a Habilitation Technician at the Arizona Training Center in Coolidge, where she became known for her compassion, and strength. Brenda retired on her 65th birthday, having spent her career making a difference in the lives of those she cared for.

Outside of work Brenda found joy in the little things. She was an avid reader who could often be found with a book in hand, and she loved the challenge of puzzles. Most importantly, she loved the Lord and found peace in reading her Bible daily. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, offering her strength and comfort, and guiding her actions every day.

Brenda is survived by her husband, David Cunningham; her daughter, Bonnie Adams; and her sons, Matthew, Joshua and Seth. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Lily McWhorter. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and a spirit that will never be forgotten.

Services were held on Oct. 2 at the Superior Funeral Home, in Superior, AZ.
