Bonnie Summerfield, 78, of Dudleyville, passed away suddenly on Sept. 12, 2020 in Tucson, Arizona surrounded by her loving family.
Bonnie was born May 30, 1942 in Nerstrand, Minnesota to James and Helen Kispert. She moved to Arizona at 18 and attended Arizona State University until she met her husband Merlin “Buck” Summerfield II. They wed on July 17, 1961 and were married for 31 years. They had three children together and spent their time traveling and participating in rodeos until Merlin’s passing in 1992.
Bonnie later met her second husband, Charles Harmon, to whom she was married to for 20 years. In her later years, Bonnie spent her time attending events for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who always put her family first.
Bonnie was loved and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her children, Bret (Tracy) Summerfield, Brian (Laura) Summerfield and Brenda (Robert) Armenta; and siblings, Garry (Dee) Kispert, Betty Kispert and Jack (Gloria) Kispert. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, James and Helen Kispert, and husband, Merlin Summerfield II. A headstone for Bonnie will be placed at the Dudleyville Cemetery in Dudleyville, Arizona, next to Merlin’s headstone.
