The Ray Bearcats traveled to San Manuel last Friday to compete in their second football game of the season. With hopes to redeem themselves from the last game utterly dashed, the Bearcats returned home with another loss.

San Manuel held Ray’s offense down, only allowing the Bearcats to slip 6 points past the Miners. Ray struggled on defense, allowing their competitors to put 66 points on the scoreboard. The final score was 6-66. The Copper Basin reached out for a comment from the coach, but he didn’t respond by press time.

The Bearcats will host the Boboquivari Warriors on Friday, Sept. 3, with a kickoff time set for 7 p.m.
