Barbara Lynn Hagan

On Feb. 16, 2025, at the age of 87, Barbara Lynn Hagan went to be with her Lord. She passed away at Heritage Manor at Lago Del Oro in Catalina. Barbara was born to J.P. and Mamie Ford in Santa Rita, New Mexico on June 12, 1937. The hospital where she was born was lost to the open mining process, and she proudly became known as a “Space Baby”.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Charles W. Hagan, in 2007. She is survived by her children, Cindy (Bruce), Ginger (Bob) and Cliff (Tammy); six grandchildren, Summer, Lynsey, Dusty, Danny, Billy and Brady; eight great-grandchildren, Marina, Brayden, Clay, Caleb, Kinley, Emmitt, Margot and Dalton; and her two sisters, Darlene Hailer and Wanda Dodson.

On Oct. 10, 1952, at the age of 15, Barbara and Charlie Hagan eloped in Deming, New Mexico. In 1956, their first child, Cindy was born. Six weeks later, they moved to San Manuel. In 1957, they had their second daughter, Ginger, and in 1961, their son Cliff was born. Barbara worked for AZ Water Company and eventually for the Mammoth-San Manuel Unified School District from which she retired.

Barbara was not only a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother but, also, a Girl Scout leader. She ran Granny’s Snack Shack at the Coppertown BMX track and, later in life, enjoyed volunteering at the local thrift store. She was an avid lover of the outdoors.

She will be dearly missed and we are happy that she is reunited with Dad, once again. Barbara’s legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.

A graveside family service, officiated by Nathan Hogan was held on Monday, Feb. 24, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Tucson.  Amazing Grace was sung by Leasa Hogan.

Mom’s memory will forever live on in our hearts.
