After a full year of celebrations honoring the centennial of the Boyce Thompson Arboretum, the gardens were decked out to honor the esteemed garden.  The evening included live and silent auctions, a three course meal along with live entertainment and awards.

As part of the celebration the Boyce Thompson Arboretum honored two organizations for their outstanding organizations that are setting the standard for sustainability and climate action in Arizona!

The Climate Action Award – Republic Services was awarded the Climate Action Award for their dedication to combating climate change and advancing sustainable practices. Their impactful programs are paving the way for a cleaner, greener Arizona and inspiring other businesses to follow in their footsteps.

The Sustainable Community Award was awarded to the Copper Corridor Blight Busters and Gila County.  This dedicated team has made a significant impact in the Town of Superior and surrounding areas, demonstrating the power of community-driven efforts to create a sustainable future. The group has helped to demolish and clean up dozens of blighted properties across the copper corridor using state and federal EPA funding.
