Antonio Rodriquez Fuentes, born July 4, 1938 in Sonora, AZ, died Jan. 1, 2021 in Superior.
Antonio had many careers in his life, law enforcement, corrections officer, and bus driver. But what he was most proud of was raising his family.
He is survived by brothers, Marcelino R. Fuentes, Aurelio R. Vega and Jose R. Rosales; sisters, Beatriz R. Fuentes and Angela F. Mesta; children, Antonio Fuentes Jr., Ricardo Fuentes, Enrique Fuentes, Guadalupe Fuentes, Christina Fuentes, and Jocelyn Fuentes; 26 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. Fuentes; parents, Ysabel C. Fuentes and Angela G. Rodriquez; brothers, Alfredo R. Fuentes and Ysabel R. Fuentes; sisters, Catalina R. Fuentes, Rita F. Hernandez, and Ausena R. Fuentes; daughters, Margaret M. Elliott and Wanda L. Gomez; and sons, Angel Fuentes and Roylyn Fuentes.
Services for Antonio were held Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Superior, AZ. He was laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery.
