Alice Castillo

Alicia Castillo “Alice”, 71, of Superior, Arizona entered eternal rest on Jan. 14, 2025, in Gilbert, Arizona. Alice received an abundance of love and appreciation by her family and friends as they said their last goodbyes.

Alice was born on Nov. 28, 1953, in Bowie, Arizona to Andres and Josephine Castillo and was raised Catholic. She was the youngest of nine children.

Alice graduated from Superior High School in 1972 and went on to have four beautiful children,

Dominique (Fernando) Villalobos, Andrea (Jerry) Gerola, Antoinette (Kevin) Carreon and Jerome Ward.

Superior was her home, where she raised her children, worked, and enjoyed being with all her friends. She lived across the street from her best friend her whole life and was the leader of her Golden Girls Club.

Alice was known for being the life of the party and always making sure the mountains were blue. She would tell it like it is while making you laugh and had an open-door policy for anyone in need. Loving, Caring, Courageous, Strong, and independent are a few words to best describe her. Her hobbies included camping in the white mountains, shopping, going to the lakes and rivers, collecting Betty Boop, sunflowers and roosters, and cruising the back roads of Superior while listening to oldies.

Alice is survived by her sister, Betty; her children, Domanique, Andrea, Antoinette and Jerome; and grandchildren, Ariana, Nando, Nicholas, Jazmine, DeAndre, Sergio and Lilliana; great-grandchildren, Mariano and Valentino; and many nieces and nephews.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Andy, Ralph, Frankie and Ruben; and sisters, Rebecca, Ida and Carol.

Alice will be missed by many, and each memory will be held close to our hearts.
