Angelita ‘Hela’ Bustamante Campos

  With great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Angelita Bustamante Campos.

  Angelita “Hela” was born into everlasting life on July 11, 2025, in Mesa, Arizona, at the age of 88.

  Angelita was born on Jan. 27, 1937, in Miami Arizona to parents, Andres Bustamante, and Celia Lavario Bustamante.

  Hela was a devoted wife of 69 years to David Vasquez Campos and a loving mother to six children, David Bustamante Campos, Katherine Campos Soto, Carolyn Christine Campos, Jerry Eugene Campos, Jesse John Campos and Steven Abel Campos. She was grandmother to 10 grandchildren, Frank David Soto III, Jimi Edward Soto, Angelita Beatrice Campos, Cynthia Christine Dey, Jerry Campos Jr. David E Campos, Mia Campos, Taylor Campos, Dylan Campos and Anais Belen Campos; 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

  Hela lived a life of love and selflessness. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and was a blessing to all who knew her.

  She enjoyed crocheting and loved roses. She excelled in flower arranging, cake decorating and various crafts. Hela loved music and played guitar and piano. Hela will be remembered for her strength and humor, her beauty and laughter, her voice singing in the kitchen every morning.

  Hela is survived by her husband, David Vasquez Campos; and her brother, Daniel Solis; generations of children, and many nieces and nephews.

  She was preceded in death by her father, Andres Bustamante; mother, Celia Levario Bustamante; brother, Andres Bustamante III; sisters, Belen Vargas, Otilia Rendon, Magdalena Mendoza and Alice Noriega; and son, David Bustamante Campos.

  Services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025, at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, Superior Arizona.  The viewing will begin at 9 a.m. followed by a Rosary at 9:30 a.m., and Mass at 10 a.m.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 300 Sunset Dr., Superior.  Lunch will be served at Los Hermanos 835 US-60, Superior.

  Family and friends are welcome to gather and celebrate her life.
