  Rose Martinez (Padilla), 80, passed away from natural causes on June 7, 2025, in Mesa. She was born March 7, 1945, in Superior.

  Rose is survived by her spouse, Richard Martinez; children, Martin Mendoza, Gary (Pauline) Mendoza Jr., John Mendoza., Marlies (Martin) Mendoza-Keller, Richard (Misa) Martinez Jr. and Jessica (Oliver) Rodriguez; grandchildren, Martin, Andrea, Robert, Thomas, Vanessa, Marissa, Daniel, Jazmine, Dallen, Alexis, Caitlin, Garrett, Ezra, Esai, Sanaa-Rae and Gavin; and great-grandchildren: Natalie, Celeste, Dolly, Destin, Devin, Mila, Lucy, Galilia, Logan and Oliver

  She graduated from high school in Superior and went on to cosmetology school before beginning work as a hairstylist.

  She lived a life full of faith, family and joy. She loved to crochet and gifted each of her children and grandchildren with a personal blanket, each stitch woven with love. She also loved to bowl and spent many hours with family and friends. Her competitive spirit, laughter, and warmth made her unforgettable to all who knew her.

  Services for Mrs. Martinez will be held Thursday, June 19, at 10 a.m. at Queen of Peach Catholic Church, 141 N. MacDonald, Mesa. A Rosary and viewing were held Tuesday, June 17, at Bunker Garden Chapel.
