On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, students from Ray School, along with teacher Megan Corder-Vinson, held an art show that displayed their works and talents from the last school year. Displaying mostly artwork for grades 7-12, there was art from nearly every student in grades 1-6. The community was invited to attend and vote on their favorite pieces by students in the 7-12 grade categories.
Kaylee Servant won first place for her ceramic bust, ceramic shoe, and ceramic fairy house. Kaylee also won second place for her Bas Relief Tile.
Seth Wade won first place for his 5-sided box.
Laila Schneider & RJ Nunez tied for first for their Bas Relief Tile. Laila also won third place for her fairy house while RJ also won third place for his 5-sided box and tied for third for his food project.
Logan Putman won first place for his food project as well as third place for his ceramic bust.
Other exceptional projects include Caden Kenney (second place) for his ceramic bust, Samson Martinez (second place) for his ceramic shoe, Brayden Boyd-Flores (2nd place) for his 5-sided box, Callee McCroskey (second place) for her fairy house, food project and (third place) Bas Relief Tile and Brianna Granillo for (third place) her ceramic shoe and food project.
Corder-Vinson says she is hopeful to continue this art show annually and said, “These students put in some incredible effort, and I am proud of everything they’ve done. I’d also like to say that there were so many amazing pieces that didn’t win but still deserve so much recognition.”
Congratulations to each student who had such remarkable art displayed and especially the winners!
