T.C. Brown was honored as the Keynote Speaker at the 51st Annual Peace Officers Memorial Service in Phoenix, Arizona on May 5, 2025. T.C. is the surviving son of Leroy D. Brown, Cochise County Deputy Sheriff, whose End of Watch (EOW) was Dec. 6, 1969.  T.C. gave a heartfelt and memorable talk about his memories of his father and his personal journey, as he provided encouragement to the other survivors in attendance.

T.C. stated, “I was very honored and humbled to be a part of this event. I hope my words had a positive impact for those in attendance. I appreciate my fellow survivors, while at the same time wishing none of us had the experiences that brought us together.”

Every May, during Peace Officers Memorial Month, the Arizona Peace Officers Memorial Board pays tribute to the peace officers who made the ultimate sacrifice. Other speakers that evening included Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs and Attorney General Kris Mayes. La Paz County Sheriff William Ponce read the Roll Call of Heroes of the 2024 fallen officers being honored for their ultimate sacrifice. Gila River Indian Community Elder Harry Antone provided the Invocation and Benediction.

Arizona honors fallen peace officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice at the annual Arizona Peace Officers Memorial Service at the Arizona State Capitol.
