Julia Alvarado
It comes with great sadness we share the loss of our beloved mother. Julia Alvarado passed away peacefully at her home in Superior, on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the age of 82.
Born to Lorenzo Sr. and Maria Martinez, Julia was one of eight siblings. Her brothers were Gilbert Martinez, Lorenzo Martinez and Arnold Martinez; and her sisters were Berna Saenz, Nellie Martinez, Maria Elena Arias and Alice Campa.
Julia is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Raymond “Ray” Alvarado. Together they raised four children, Gina, Chris, Tony and Danny. She is also remembered by her son-in-law Joe and daughter-in-law Amelia. Julia’s legacy continues through her four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Superior on Saturday, May 3, 2025. The Rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass at 10 a.m. Julia will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery.
