Steven Randall, 53, passed away on Jan. 7, 2025, in Tucson. He was born Sept. 15,1971, in Bagdad, Arizona and moved to San Manuel in 1978.
He was preceded in death by his older brother, Robert Denton Randall; his niece, Kandra Louise Randall; and his great nephew, Liam Randall.
Steven is survived by his wife, three daughters, one son, five grandchildren and also by his parents, Denton and Linda Randall; sisters, Debbie Salcido and Connie Randall; nieces, Sandra Randall and Tammy Livingood; nephews, Kristopher Randall and Jimmy and Ryan Livingood; three great nephews; and one great niece.
He graduated from San Manuel High School, then began work at Magma Copper Mine where he started in the mill before transferring to ore transportation as a carloader, brakeman and engineer. He moved on to work at Pima Community College in cooling and heating when the mine shut down.
Steven was always a hard worker and everyone who worked or knew him liked and loved him. He helped everyone he knew and strangers he didn’t know.
Steven was a loving, caring, compassionate, kind and funny person who liked to play jokes on people and have fun. He would watch Jeopardy in the morning to get all the answers, so he could compete with his mom when she watched the same exact show, to see who could get the most answers. They also competed with their football teams, when they played each other. His team was the Arizona Wildcats and his mom’s team was and is the Sun Devils.
Steven was also a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers from the age of seven and would always be asking for a Steelers jacket. When he got one on Christmas, he never wanted to take it off. Steven grew up learning football, fishing, hunting and working on cars from his dad. He was always willing to listen and learn things.
Our hearts are broken by the loss of our son and brother Steven Gale Randall. Steven loved his family and we loved him. Still do. We are left with so many wonderful memories of Steven. He was a wonderful person and will be forever missed but will always be in our hearts and thoughts. We love you, Steven!!
