Elouise ‘Weezy’ B. Medina

  Elouise “Weezy” B. Medina was born on May 3, 1951, to Encarnacion (Chon) and Beatrice (Tuca) Arvizu. She was born and raised in Superior, Arizona.

  Elouise had a passion for baking and cooking and made the best Tortillas that won her the title for “THE BEST” of Phoenix new times award.

  Elouise enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved to go to the casino every chance she could. She was a loving mother and friend to all that knew her. She spent her whole life caring and loving everything and everyone around her, which made her so deeply loved by all.

  The Lord decided it was time for her to come home on Jan. 16, 2025. He took her to heaven as he needed her to help take care of her two children who she recently lost.

  Elouise is preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda Quiroz Morales (2020); son, Mario Raul Medina (2024); and sister, Gloria Arvizu Thompson (2021).

  She is survived by her loving daughter, JoJo Martinez Jones (Nate); grandsons, Dean Marquez Jr., Rhain Jones and Zaviur Jones; and great-grandson, Kydin Marquez. She also leaves behind her loving brother, Angel Arvizu; sisters, Maria Gomez and Christine Arvizu; and many more loving family members and friends.

  Weezy will forever be missed and will forever be in our hearts.

   The Celebration of Life will be on March 1, 2025, at the Union Hall located at 52 S. Center, Mesa, AZ 85210 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
