
Elizabeth Bicknell
Elizabeth Bicknell, 86, passed away in Tucson on Nov. 26, 2024.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Terry (Jim) Kent of Oracle; sister-in-law, Linda Crim of Oneonta, Alabama; four grandchildren, Julie (Dustin Harvell) Hartman of Florence, Brian (Katrina) Kent of Lawton, Oklahoma, Raymond of Tampa, Florida, and Seth (Skylar) Davis of Buchanan, Virginia; and four great-grandsons, DJ Hartman of Florence and Jacob, Bryson and Hunter Kent of Lawton, Oklahoma.
She graduated Oneonta High School in 1956 and attended Calhoun Community College in Huntsville. Elizabeth worked at Southern Bell in Birmingham after graduating from Oneonta High School. She later worked at the Wrangler Factory in Oneonta; as a clerk at the US Treasurer’s Office in Birmingham; and as a Home Health Aide in many locations.
Elizabeth loved sewing, crocheting and cooking. She was raised on a rural farm in Allgood, Alabama as the second child in a family of five children. After she graduated high school, she married William (Bill) Bicknell in November of 1957. They moved to Oracle in 1960, so that Bill could work for Magma Copper.
They had two children, Terry and Sonya Beth. Bill and Elizabeth divorced, and Elizabeth moved to Alabama with the girls. In 1971 they returned to Oracle. Elizabeth moved between Arizona and Alabama many times through the years.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Oracle Assembly of God, located at 1145 N. Robles Rd. in Oracle on Jan. 11, beginning at 11 a.m. with a later burial of ashes in Clear Springs, Alabama.
