
Jimmy Dominguez
Jimmy Dominguez, 77, passed away in Tucson on Nov. 24, 2024.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Dominguez; daughter, Corinna (Brian) Crick; son, Eric “Sammy” (Tiffany) Dominguez; seven grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers.
Jimmy attended school in San Manuel through high school until he enlisted into the Army in 1965. Two years of his four-year tour were served in Vietnam. When he was discharged, he had the rank of E4 Corporal. He was a proud Vietnam War Veteran.
Jimmy worked at Magma Copper/BHP for 27 years until the mine closed. He then went to work for the AZ Department of Corrections as a correctional officer, where he worked for 10 years before fully retiring in 2010.
Jimmy enjoyed working with his hands, building, doing work around the house, as well as helping others with projects. He enjoyed collecting small models of classic cars and Denver Broncos memorabilia. Jimmy played the drums at church and was passionate about sharing his faith with others.
Jimmy never met a stranger and had a heart for helping others. He left a lasting impact on those who knew him, and he will be dearly remembered and missed.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in honor of Jimmy at the San Manuel Assembly of God Church, located at 201 E. Main St. in San Manuel, on Jan. 18 at 11 a.m.
