Juanita Carol Franz McNeil, 80, passed away at home in Kearny on Oct. 4, 2024, due to natural causes.
She is survived by her husband, Don McNeil; stepson, Dustin McNeil; several step-grandchildren; sister, M. Louise Morgan; and three brothers, Robert J. Franz, G. Edward Franz and Charles W. Franz.
Carol graduated from Clarksville IN High School before going on to attend and graduate from Indiana University. She worked as an early childhood teacher in several schools throughout the Midwest and Western United States.
She was a great cat lover. Carol endured many years of mobility issues, but always had a positive attitude and smile. Everyone marveled at how she managed to be as active as she was.
Services were held in her childhood home on Randolph Ave. in Clarksville, Indiana. She was cremated. Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation 2151 Michelson Drive Suite 180, Irvine, CA 92612 in memory of her great nephew Carter Ankeny.
