Anthony Matthew Madrid, 39, of Superior, Arizona, passed away on Oct. 16, 2024. Born on April 21, 1985, in Florence, Arizona, Anthony was known for his creativity, warm heart, and deep love for his family.

Anthony graduated from Superior High School and later attended the Universal Technical Institute, where he specialized in HVAC. Though skilled in his trade, his true passion was in the arts. Over the years, Anthony pursued various forms of artistic expression, eventually becoming a talented freelance artist, admired for his unique vision and dedication to his craft.

He is survived by his loving parents, Jose “Pepe” Madrid and Vivian “Bernadette” Madrid; his cherished grandfather, Manuel Madrid; his beloved grandmother, Ida Serrano; his devoted siblings, Vanessa, Monique and Joe Madrid; and his adored nephews, Jared Toner, Ethan and Adam Hernandez; and beautiful niece, Kadynce Toner. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Albert Serrano, and his grandmother, Christina Madrid.

Anthony will be remembered for his creativity, his kind spirit, sense of humor and the love he shared with those around him. His legacy lives on in his art and in the hearts of all who knew him.

Services to be held Oct. 25, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Superior, AZ. He will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Superior, AZ. Luncheon will follow at St. Mary’s Center.
