The Superior Panthers are gearing up to take the field for their 2024 season.

Elias Olmos will continue as the Panthers’ head coach. He will be assisted by Andrew Lopez, Daren Casillas, David Olmos, Manuel Ortega and Richard Toner. The team is sizing up well with about 53 players.

“This year is shaping up to be really promising for us. The culture is building. We had a full weight room all summer and we were able to get in multiple 5-on-5 tournaments and compete. With all the returning players that had to start as underclassmen last year, they now have the experience coming into the season. Not only the experience, but improved strength and speed from the countless hours of work they put in all summer. This is going to be an exciting year, for us and we look forward to being back in the playoffs and competing,” said head coach Elias Olmos.

The Panthers will start their season with a home game against last season’s state champions, the Hayden Lobos, on Aug. 23 at 7 p.m. The rest of the season will look like: Aug. 30 vs Mayer (home), Sept. 6 at Williams, Sept. 13 vs Mogollon (home), Sept. 20 at Fort Thomas, Sept. 27 vs Lincoln Prep (home), Oct. 4 at Cicero Prep, Oct. 11 vs Ray (home), and Oct. 18 at Valley Union.
