A rear end accident on Webb Road sent two victims to the hospital.
According to the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, on Dec. 9 around 6 p.m., a passenger car traveling westbound on Webb Road was rear ended by a pickup truck. The passenger car came to rest off the roadway in the desert, and the driver of the pickup left their vehicle to attend to the injured occupants of the passenger car.
Moments later, a third vehicle (another pickup truck) struck the now unoccupied pickup stopped due to the initial accident.
The driver and passenger of the passenger car were flown to hospital. The female was in stable condition, while the male was in critical condition.
“While the incident is still under investigation, it is safe to say there was no impairment in any of the involved parties,” said Lauren Reimer, Public Information Officer for Pinal County Sheriff’s Office.
