Brothers, Nycolas and Noah Lemke, and their cousin, Declan Metheny, were the first to mail their letters to Santa Claus in one of the special Santa Letter mailboxes. The boys got some official assistance from San Manuel’s new Postmaster James Sweet.

Nycolas (who signed his letter Gordo) asked Santa for a Spin Robot for Christmas.

  Noah wants a Spiderman toy.

Declan writes: “Dear Santa, My name is Declan. For Christmas I would like a toy. I would like a drone and a black motorcycle toy and a nerf gun that shoots very far away. I also want a toy guy for the motorcycle. Thank you.”

Nycolas and Noah are 4 years old and the sons of Angela Lemke.

Declan is 5 and is the son of Selena Metheny.

Tri-Community children can mail their wishes to Santa in the special mailboxes placed around the area: La Casita in Mammoth; Simply Something Groceries and More in San Manuel; and the Oracle Community Center. Letters can also be placed through the slot in the door at the Miner office in San Manuel. Children wishing to send an email may send it to cbnsun@minersunbasin.com. If you’d like to mail letters to Santa, please send them to: Santa Claus, c/o San Manuel Miner, PO Box 60, San Manuel, AZ 85631.  Letters must be received by Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023, in order to be published in the Dec. 20, 2023, edition of the San Manuel Miner. Postmaster Sweet has assured us that he will personally forward all letters to the North Pole after the San Manuel Miner publishes them.

This year, Mr. Claus has given us permission to accept letters through our Facebook page (www.Facebook.com/CopperArea). Just send us a message (PM) with your child’s letter to Santa.

Hurry and get your letters in quickly so they can be forwarded to the North Pole in plenty of time for the big day. The deadline to mail letters in Santa’s special mailbox is Dec. 14. Santa needs time to get all the requests fulfilled.
