San Manuel High School now has a weight room, after years of operating with older and worn-out equipment.

With the help of Dr. Michelle Poppen and grant specialist Amy Stump, San Manuel High School was able to receive a grant for new weight room equipment.

“Trying to get new equipment in the education system is hard, but this grant helped out a lot,” commented superintendent Julie Dale-Scott.

The weight room now has a brand new squat-rack, new benchpress benches, cardio machines, and a multi-use weight machine. The football team has already begun to break in the new equipment, as they prepare for their 2023 season.

“The kids already enjoy using the new gear,” added athletic director Gracie Laguna.
