Superior, Arizona: Boyce Thompson Arboretum is hosting Summer Camp: Desert Adventures, in partnership with Superior Unified School District. Summer Camp: Desert Adventures is designed to support students in local communities around Boyce Thompson Arboretum as they prepare for the upcoming school year. Curriculum will provide hands-on inquiry and project-based nature lessons for K-6th students in lessons around math, literacy, and civics.

“BTA is perfectly situated to connect local communities to the wonders of the natural world that support math, literacy, and civic standards,” says John Bello, Education Coordinator at Boyce Thompson Arboretum. “We’re excited to support local students’ academic achievement through the AZ OnTrack Summer Camp Grant to provide enriching, fun, nature-based educational activities to support students’ success next school year. Connecting students to the wonders of the natural world offers a unique learning environment.”

Summer Camp: Desert Adventures kicked off June 7 and runs the month of June. There are spaces available on June 17, 27, 28, 29 and July 1. Admission is free, but pre-registration is required.
