It couldn’t have been a prettier day for a car show. The clouds were the perfectly puffy kind that the sun loves to play hide and seek behind. The cars were polished to a high sheen, reflecting the clouds and catching the perfect rays of sunshine.

Saturday, April 16, was the 34th annual Oracle Spring Run Car Show sponsored by the Oracle Historical Society. This year’s event saw a return to the usual venue at the Oracle Justice Court following a “run” down American Avenue.

After a two-year pandemic hiatus, the vehicles sparkled in the glorious April Oracle sunshine, ready to be judged and trophies to be awarded.

  And this year’s winners are:

  • Best Truck in Show, red 1952 GMC – Jim Breitkopf (Tucson)
  • Best Car in Show, teal/white 1956 Chevy Nomad – Ed Carlson (Tucson)
  • Best Interior, orange/white 1956 Chevy Nomad – Bob Thomas (Tucson)
  • Best Paint, black/burgundy 2004 Cadillac CTSV – Brandon Stout (Oracle)
  • Best Engine, burgundy T-Bucket – Michael Anderson (Gilbert)

All proceeds from the Spring Run Car show benefit the Oracle Historical Society.
