There was some celebration and fun at the Kearny Posse Arena this weekend, but not all of it was centered around gymkhana events and the fabulous weather.
The Town of Kearny celebrated the retirement of Fire Chief Kenny. Kenny gave the Town of Kearny more than 30 years of service and leadership and put out a lot of fires too.
There was a big crowd of well-wishers at the party and the best burgers in town were grilled and served. Kenny was presented the gift of a hunting knife from his town colleagues that became the envy of all.
Kearny Town Manager, Sharon Jakubowski Wolz, presented an incredible art piece created by Kevin Jackson that was simply awesome.
The town’s volunteer firefighters, hopeful future volunteer firefighters and town residents wish Fire Chief Piggot, his life partner and wife Lora, the Town’s Assistant Fire Chief, great success as a new door opens in Kenny’s life.
Thank you, Fire Chief Kenny Piggott.
