Carl Gordon Walker passed away Feb. 1, 2021, just one day after his 81st birthday.

  He was born on Jan. 31, 1940, in Blytheville, Arkansas to Stanford and Ora-Mae Walker. He was one of eight children, six boys and two girls. The family moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1949.

  He graduated from Tucson High in 1959. He met his wife Nancy and they were married in 1965. They lived in Tucson then moved to Mammoth in 1975. They were blessed with 55 years of marriage, three children, 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.

  He served his country honorably for 11 years in the Arizona Army National Guard along with his brothers. He retired from the mine in San Manuel in 1999 and served faithfully in his church First Baptist Church of Mammoth and the local community.

  He is preceded in Glory by his parents; his brothers, Stan, Jim, George and Ray; and his little sister, Mary Martha. He leaves behind his wife, Nancy; his brother, Robert Walker; sister, Barbara Mitchell; his children, Phillip, Jessee and Misty; his grandchildren, Seth, Cody, Kailyn, Keanu, Katherine, Samantha, Abigale, Isabelle, Sarah and Bridget; and his great-grandchildren, Ava-Lynn, Elliott, Harmoney and Olivia.

  Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 11 a.m. at Valley View Cemetery in Mammoth.

2 Timothy 4:6-8 – “For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
