Gerald Gene Seevers, 91, passed away peacefully in his home in Mammoth, AZ, on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021.

  Gerald was born in Cambridge, Ohio on Oct. 4, 1929 to parents, Mancel and Violet (Hicks) Seevers.  He grew up with four siblings, Harry, Paul, Kathryn, and Bonnie. Gerald bought his first car in in 1930, a 1931 Model A Two-Door Sedan in black with four bangers. He married Aurelia Rose Mason on June 28, 1948 and had nine children, Evelyn, Patty (Ray), Bob, Gerald, Jr. (Debbie), Linda, Cathy (Terry). Deloris, Jeff, and Paul (Nancy).

  Gerald had various jobs while living in Cambridge. He worked for Landmark Feed, Cambridge Glass, and Axa Brick Yard. Gerald served in the U.S. Army from September 1946 to April 1950. He attended boot camp at Ft. Knox, Kentucky and was stationed in Japan as well as Aberdeen, Maryland. He later worked as a truck driver and in the plastic industry until 1972, when he moved his family to Arizona. They settled down in Mammoth and Gerald worked as a maintenance mechanic for Magma Copper Company from January 1973 until April 1985. Gerald then ran the Seevers Car Wash and worked as a truck driver for Cecil Trucking and Hauling.

  Gerald loved camping, traveling, singing, and tinkering around his place.

  Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, wife Aurelia, son Robert, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  He is survived by eight children, 18 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.

  Services for Gerald were held Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021 at Griffith Mortuary in Kearny, Arizona. He was laid to rest at Valley View Cemetery in Mammoth, Arizona.
