Jesus Jacquez, 67, passed from COVID-19 on Dec. 23, 2020, in Tucson. He grew up in Nogales and lived in the Tri-Community for 30 years.
Jesus is survived by his wife, Clarissa; son, Nathaniel (Jackie); daughter, Nicolette (Joe); brothers, Jose Luis (Irene) and George (Georgina); sisters, Rosa (Frank) Estrada, Rosario Jacquez and Esther (Sergio) Oliveros; and grandchildren, Frankie, Tony, Dominick, Donovin and Isabella.
He graduated Nogales High School, attended Aravaipa Central Arizona College and trained at the University of Arizona Meat Lab. Jesus worked at Magma for BHP for 20 years and for Asarco for 10 years.
He loved woodworking, riding ATVs, cooking, gardening, vacationing in Rocky Point and spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. He also volunteered as a 4-H leader and helped with events at Mammoth Elementary School.
A celebration of life is planned for a future date.
