The Superior Senior Citizens Christmas Gift Giveaway 2020 is one for the books. Organizers blessed 238 people with gifts.
Over 24 hours of wrapping done by Santa’s elves: Maxine, Rylee, Norma, Diana, Heather, Izzy, Gabriel, Maria, and maybe one more), two hours of sorting presents for the north and south side of Superior, 4.5 hours of delivering in three vehicles full of presents and elves: Norma, Maxine, Niki, Miranda, Ana, Bri, Monique, Krista, Mikey, Michael, Ethan and Raul, parading through the streets of Superior wishing all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We brought smiles to all, and happy tears were shed by some.
All the elves wore masks. They took turns dropping off the presents, ringing the bell and running back to the truck. Cookies and gift bags were also given out.
Thanks to all who donated. From Florida to California, gifts and monetary donations were given: 150 beanies were crocheted by Lauri and 34 boxes of goodies made their way to Arizona from California from Jan. Amy donated her delicious cookies.
Santa’s Helpers offered the following for all residents of Superior: “Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and prayers for our world to be healthy again. God Bless all of us.”
