Navy Command Master Chief Frank Dominguez

  After 34 years in the United States Navy, Command Master Chief Frank Dominguez has retired. His family celebrated this momentous occasion with him in Hawaii.

  CMDCM Dominguez was born in San Pedro, California and raised in Superior.  He graduated from Superior High School in 1984. He is the son of Armando and Lydia Dominguez, husband to Teresa (Garcia), also a member of the Superior High School class of 1984.  He is a father to two children: Tani and Camyrn.

   Command Master Chief Dominguez enlisted in the United States Navy in June of 1987.  Upon completion of Recruit Training Command at San Diego, CA he attended Hospital Corps “A” School at San Diego, CA.

     Sea assignments include 3rd Marine Division, Kaneohe Bay, HI; 1st Surveillance Reconnaissance Group, Camp Pendleton, CA; 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, CA; 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, MCAS Miramar, CA; I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, CA. 

     Deployments include Unit Deployment Program UDP, Okinawa, Japan; Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm, Liberation of Kuwait; Operation Desert Thunder/Fox in support of military presence and force during bombing campaign; FOB Mercury, Iraq; Operations Al Fajr in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Fallujah, Iraq, Regional Command Southwest/I MEF (Forward) in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

     Shore assignments include the U.S. Navy Hospital San Diego, CA; Branch Medical Clinic, Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, CA; and Instructor tour, Field Medical Service School, Camp Pendleton, CA.

  Overseas assignment at U.S. Naval Hospital Italy, Naples, Italy.

  Command Master Chief assignments include Naval Hospital Bremerton, Washington, 3d Marine Aircraft Wing, MCAS Miramar, CA; Regional Command (Southwest)/I Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), Helmand Province, Afghanistan;  and I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, CA; finished his career as Marine Forces Pacific, Camp Smith, Hawaii Command Master Chief.

    Command Master Chief Dominguez holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College, a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Class Honor Grad NRC 22 (Khaki), and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course Class 75.

   Personal awards include the Legion of Merit (1st award), Meritorious Service Medal (3rd award), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with combat distinguishing device (2nd award), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (6th award), Combat Action Ribbon (2nd award), and various other unit and campaign awards.
