On Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020, the Oracle Community Garden at Wood Field held a drive through fall vegetables starter plants and herbs sale.

Plants and herbs were pre-ordered and delivered to patrons when they drove up into the garden. Some of the varieties of organic vegetables and herbs included arugula, beets, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, lettuce, leeks, spinach, dill, cilantro and parsley.

The garden’s model railroad’s progress was also on display. The model railroad has added an Oracle kid’s town, more track, railway station and buildings, and there is more to come. When completed the model railroad will tell the history of the railroad in Arizona. It will be an added attraction at the garden thanks to Craig Anderson and his volunteers.

All aboard the Oracle Community Learning Garden’s model train.
