Rachel Bailon Munoz, age 90 of Tucson, Arizona entered the Kingdom of God on Wednesday, March 27, 2020 surrounded by family in her home.
Rachel was born March 6, 1930 in Globe, Arizona. After graduating from Globe High School, she married Martin Munoz Jr. of Superior, Arizona on Sept. 12, 1956. Rachel and Martin owned and operated the M & M Hardware store in Superior for 30 years. When she was not busy at the store, she enjoyed participating in community activities, cooking, and family life.
Rachel moved to Tucson in 1987. There she enjoyed Bible study, watching soccer games on Univison, and spending time with her grandchildren and family. In her final days, she lived every moment just as she had lived her entire life; joyful, loving, forgiving, and in service to the Lord.
Rachel is preceded in death by her husband, Martin Munoz Jr. She leaves behind her sister Rebecca Mendoza; five children, Diana Yang (Samuel), Martin Daniel Munoz, Angelita Munoz, Alice Warren (Chuck), and Arnold Munoz. She also had five grandchildren, Paty Munoz-Gorder, Martin Munoz (Illya), Marissa Munoz, Kyle Schroder, Rachelle Schroder, Amanda Yang, and Christina Yang.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2020, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church Tucson, AZ with Father Edward Lucero celebrating.
