Robert Wayne Boatman of Dudleyville, passed away at the age of 62 in Hayden, Arizona on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. Robert was born on Oct. 27, 1957 in Prescott, Arizona to parents Dennis and Patricia (Haydorn) Boatman.
Robert spent the majority of his life in Kearny and spent what he would call the best years of his life working for Asarco. He worked for Asarco for 38 years where he was an active member of the union, local 5252.
Robert had many hobbies and would always lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He became the neighborhood father to his daughters’ friends, who fondly referred to him as “Pops” or “Big Guns.”
Robert is preceded in death by his mother Patricia and father Dennis. He is survived by his son, James; daughters, Aleynia, Ashley and Stacey; his brothers, Kenny (Robyn) Boatman and Dennis (Cheryl) Boatman; and sister, Lynn (Jack) Hafer. Robert also leaves behind six grandchildren.
Services for Robert will be decided at a later date and will be open to the public.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to the Robert Wayne Boatman Memorial Fund at Ray Federal Credit Union.
