Ruby Jean Giorsetti

  Ruby Jean Giorsetti passed away peacefully on April 7, 2020. Ruby Jean was born Dec. 13, 1929 in Hayden, Arizona. She was the youngest daughter of Arthur and Josephine Prince. 

  She graduated from Hayden High School in 1947. She attended Arizona State College (ASU) for a short time and then got a beautician’s license. She worked as a beautician until her marriage to Provino (Pope) Giorsetti on Sept. 16, 1951. They settled in Winkelman and had four children: Richard, Sandra Kay, Jeff and William. Ruby Jean, a loving mother, began working in the family business, Giorsetti’s Superior Grocery, when Pope took ownership and she later assumed ownership upon his death. She was known for visiting with all the customers who came to the store. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 72 years and very active in her church.

  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pope; son, Richard; sisters, Virginia Hansen and Eleanor Brose; and brother, Conrad Prince. 

  Ruby Jean will forever be remembered by her children, Sandra Kay Chavez, Jeff (Christine) Giorsetti and William Giorsetti. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Charlotte Chavez, Richard (Amy) Chavez, Jenna Giorsetti and Amanda (Dale) Duckworth; four great-grandchildren, Noah Chavez, Cooper Chavez, Jordan Palmer and Jocelyn Palmer; and many nieces and nephews.
