Saint Mary’s Food Bank provides a supplemental Senior Citizen Food box delivery program through the Pinal County Health Department. Last Wednesday, the truck was met by the Pinal County Health Department staff along with volunteers from Resolution Copper, Augie Hing from Save Money Market, Delores Hatfield from the VFW and Darrin Lewis from Superior Lumber.
The volunteers helped to load the boxes for the Seniors and helped to ensure that physical distancing is met. The food boxes are delivered once a month.
To find out if you qualify for a Senior Citizen food box, you can stop in at the next delivery to submit your name and information to see if you qualify. Currently due to COVID-19 there is a waiting list to add more clients to the list but new applicants who qualify will be added to the waiting list.
