Arizona Department of Transportation

The Arizona Department of Transportation will begin work on a bridge project on State Route 177 the week of Jan. 27.

For about two weeks, only minor traffic impacts are expected as crews begin work underneath the Mineral Creek Bridge between Superior and Kearny. .

Starting in early- to mid-February, traffic will be restricted to a single lane in alternating directions, at times using flaggers.

The project includes a new concrete overlay, guardrail repairs and scour protection beneath the bridge.

Vehicles should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
