Jerry Martinez Jr., 43, of Superior joined his personal lord and savior, Jesus Christ, on May 31, 2019.
Jerry was born in Globe, AZ to Jerry and Rachel Martinez on July 25, 1975.
He is survived by his children, Andrew, Adam and Glorianna Martinez; parents, Jerry Martinez Sr. and Rachel Martinez of Superior; grandfather, John E. Chavez of Superior; sister, Amanda (Zeke) Sanchez; nephews and niece, Zeke Jr., Elijah and Absidee Sanchez. He also leaves behind many family members including great uncles, great aunts, uncles, aunts and cousins.
Jerry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Esther Martinez, and grandmother, Gloria T. Chavez.
Jerry was well known for his relationship with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jerry loved being around his family playing chess and basketball. Jerry was a graduate of Superior High School in 1993. Jerry was a well-known athlete during these years. He was a very loved son, father, grandson, brother, nephew and uncle. He touched many people with his huge heart and compassion to help others. Jerry will be deeply missed and is now resting with his Savior Jesus Christ.
Memorial services were held at Superior Funeral Home on June 7, 2019.
