It’s springtime and that means the Easter bunny is on his way, to visit and spread cheer, here, there and everywhere.
Easter Egg hunts, here in America, are a nationwide celebration, thrown by local governments, celebrated in news as tots scramble across the lawn of the White House, hosted by church groups and non-profit organizations, making Easter more than just a family or religious holiday. Yet, making it, at one and the same time, very much all about the family; but, the larger family, covered over by the same flag, and, united by choice.
The Towns of Kearny and Hayden, adding to the fun, are hopping with activity, getting ready for their annual Easter Egg Hunts.
Bring your family, friends, bonnets and baskets to Hubbard Park in Kearny on Saturday, April 20, at 9 a.m. to hunt and seek the hidden, myriad-colored treasures, in a traditional community activity that links the generations. To volunteer, please come at 7 a.m.
If you live in the Hayden-Winkelman area, the Easter Bunny will be hopping over your way at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 20. Come early to hunt Easter Eggs and stay later for lunch: free hot dogs, chips and water.
