Frank D. Aranda

  Frank D. Aranda, 61, of Apache Junction, passed away peacefully March 28, 2019. He was born in Ray, AZ on Nov. 14, 1957 and raised in Superior, AZ, the son of Transito Aranda and Lucy F. Dozal, and brother to Carolyn Aranda, Danny Aranda, Robert Aranda, and Richard Aranda.  

   He was an Army veteran and a proud patriot. He worked as a corrections officer in Florence for many years and retired from the Department of Homeland Security.

  He loved to sing and play his guitar, often serenading his loved ones and organizing countless benefit concerts.  He loved to help people. 

  He loved his family dearly, and would do anything for them.

  Frank is survived by two devoted daughters, Tina Casillas of Superior and Lisa Griffis of Apache Junction. He has nine grandchildren, his “babies”, Angelina, Gabriel, Gavin, Diego, Caden, Brennen, Mariah, Violet and Evelyn. They were his whole world. He is also survived by his loving fiance, Theresa Crooks, who stayed by his side and cared for him even when things got hard. 

  A memorial service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Mesa on April 5 at 10 a.m. with a luncheon to follow at 1 p.m. at the Los Hermanos ballroom in Superior.
