Food, gifts and other goodies ready to be delivered to six families for Christmas.

For more than 15 years, Mountain Shadows Presbyterian Church (MSPC) has participated in Adopt A Family programs, providing area residents with substantial economic needs, a gift of hope, support and encouragement.  This year the church had 6 families with 26 people in total, all clients of the Tri Community Food Bank in Mammoth, AZ.

Requests for specific items were transformed to sign up sheets, encouraging people to select an item to purchase, and return to the AAF committee.  Each family member received one or more gifts, all wrapped and delivered to their homes in time for Christmas.  MSPC Deacons and assistants each adopted a family, wrapped the donated items, and personally drove their sleighs to Mammoth and San Manuel.

In addition, a large basket of food and hygiene items was included; a canned ham and assorted vegetables, staples, pasta, cereal, and candy canes (!) was all part of the gift.

MSPC is a church centered in Christ, caring for community.  This holiday mission activity is enjoyed by the entire congregation, and our recipients have expressed much gratitude.
