Paul Jones

  Paul Jones passed away on Oct. 18, 2018 at the Tucson VA Community Living Center after a brief illness.

  Paul was born in Columbus, Ohio to Robert and Violet Jones on March 9, 1941.

  After high school, Paul joined the Army, where he stayed for nine years. He was stationed in White Sands NM, Fort Huachuca, Germany and Viet Nam. When he returned to Kearny, he worked for Kennecott Copper for 18 years, before moving to Elko NV. In Elko, he worked for Barrick Goldstrike for 15 years, returning to Kearny to work as a Correctional Officer for Corrections Corps of America. After retirement, he enjoyed keeping up with the political scene on the computer and playing with new technologies.

  In 1970, Paul met and  married  the love of his life, Judy Elliott; they  would  have had their 48th Anniversary in December.

  He is survived by his wife, Judy; son, Ray, and daughter-in-law, Lee Ann; daughter, Bridget, and son-in-law, Dave Johnson; grandsons, Tristen Stephens, Cannon Talley, Logan Talley and Ashton Jones; brother, Mike Jones; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Lynn and Glenn Jones.
