Having some fun with the Russian String Orchestra

The Gold Canyon Arts Council’s Canyon Sounds Performance Series brings the Russian String Orchestra to the Gold Canyon United Methodist Church on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at 7:30 p.m.

Founded in 1991, the Russian String Orchestra, comprised of Russia’s finest young string musicians, has carved a niche for itself under the creative baton of its founder and music director Misha Rachlevsky. Through their highly-acclaimed concerts, the orchestra creates high energy performances that stay with listeners long after the last note has been played.

Much is said about engaging concert audiences, so in addition to their full orchestra compositions, the orchestra offers “The Audience Vote!” concept, in which concertgoers may select the composition and solists they wish to hear.

Beyond their frequent performances in Moscow, their home city, the orchestra has toured 24 countries in Europe, North and South America, and the Far East. They have received the “Diapason d’Or” award in France and “Record of The Year” in Hong Kong.

Purchase advance adult tickets for $25, and students for $5 on our website www.goldcanyonarts.org or at Canyon Rose Storage, 6405 S. Kings Ranch Rd. in Gold Canyon, and at the Apache Junction Chamber of Commerce on the Apache Trail.  Tickets at the door are $30.
