Rick Powers is a longtime Arizona resident and an avid history buff. He is originally from Kansas and has a big interest in Arizona and local history. He lives in Globe with his wife Lee Ann, another history buff.

The Pearl Hart stage robbery was in 1899. It made her a nationwide celebrity due to her being a woman and the first female prisoner of Yuma Territorial Prison. She was known to have been around the Mammoth area at one time and stayed at the Mountain View Hotel in Oracle. It is said that she returned to the Globe area following her incarceration and lived near the Christmas Mine in the Dripping Springs area.
