Homecoming is an annual tradition, hosted by the Superior High School Student Council for generations the Superior Panthers have celebrated, football, school spirit and of course it is a time for alumni to come together for reunions.
This year the theme for homecoming is “Vacations.” Superior Junior/Senior High School students will participate in a variety of theme days for dress up and other activities during Homecoming Week.
Monday, Sept. 24 the spirit day theme is pajama day. The Senior class will trek up Apache Leap to paint the “S” and the entire student body will participate in a vacation theme scavenger hunt.
Tuesday, Sept. 25 the theme will be “Good Vibes and High Fives” Tye Dye Day. During lunch the student body will participate in a game show “How well do you know your friend?”.
Wednesday, Sept. 26 is Wild West Attire day. Jock Volleyball will be played during 5th period, which is 1:37-2:24 p.m.. The Powder Puff football game will be played during sixth period from 2:28-3:15 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 27 is Tacky Tourist day. Students will also participate in vacation trivia during lunch.
Friday, Sept. 28 is Black and Orange day. Student Council will host a pep rally during 5th and 6th period, (1:30-3:15 p.m.). Following the pep rally, Student Council will host the homecoming parade, the theme is “Vacation”. Those wishing to enter the parade, should fill out the forms and pay the $10 fee no later than Thursday, Sept. 27.
DECA and FCCLA will be hosting a tailgate party following the parade. The Superior Panthers will face the Hayden Lobos with a 7 p.m. kickoff. Presale tickets may be purchased at the school. Homecoming king and queen will be crowned during half time.
Saturday, Sept. 29, there will be a semi-formal Homecoming dance for high school students.
