Belen Veliz Cluff

  Services for Belen Veliz Cluff will be held Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hayden with visitation at 8:30 a.m., Rosary at 9:30 a.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment with graveside services will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Hayden. A luncheon will be held at the Hayden Golf Course Clubhouse.

  Belen was born June 5, 1916 in Minas Prietas, Mexico to Rafeal Veliz and Refugio Casanova. She was called home by our heavenly father on Aug. 17, 2018 in Tucson Arizona. She was 102 years old.

  She was preceded in death by husbands Luis Chavez, Nelson Cluff and Gordon Tebben and son, Gilbert Chavez.

  She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Jim) Rico, and son, Louie (Donna) Chavez, 10 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.

  She lived a full and happy life.  Belen was a very loving person with a cheerful and positive attitude.    She was an active senior who lived in Winkelman, AZ, most of her life and loved cooking, playing cards, going to the casino and traveling.  She was devoted to the daily rosary and the church.  She will be greatly missed.
