The case against Kearny resident Owen O’Brien has come to a close with a plea agreement that dismisses three charges and amends one.
O’Brien was arrested on June 23, 2016 after he was accused of stealing and selling property that belonged to his employer. He was indicted by the Pinal County Grand Jury in 2017 for theft, trafficking in stolen property and theft of a vehicle.
Late in May 2018, he pleaded guilty to theft of a vehicle and solicitation to commit trafficking in stolen property. He was sentenced to 5 years probation and will have to pay restitution to Ace Pipe Cleaning in the amount of $60,000.
The remaining charges have been dismissed.
